A nebuliser is a device that turns liquid medicine into a fine mist. It helps you inhale medicine through the mask or mouthpiece and into your lungs. Using a nebuliser may take some time to learn, but the important thing to remember when using your nebuliser is to breathe naturally.

Wash your hands well

Mummy or Daddy connects the hose to the machine

Ask Mummy or Daddy to fill the cup with your medicine

Mummy or Daddy connects the medicine container to the machine and the mask or mouthpiece to the top of the container

Help Mummy or Daddy place the mask on your face excatly as your doctor taught you. Ask Mummy or Daddy to make sure it is attached properly

Breathe in and out naturally until your medicine is gone

Help Mummy or Daddy turn off the machine when done

Mummy or Daddy washes the medicine cup and mask with water and allow to air dry

Regular care of the nebuliser system is very important. To maintain the proper operation of your nebuliser, it is recommended that you clean and store it according to the manufacturer's instructions.It is important to note that different nebuliser systems may require different cleaning procedures.
